POWIS CASTLE GARDEN WALKS: relaxing outdoor mindfulness sessions, with cream tea

Enjoy exclusive access to the National Trust's beautiful Powis Castle Gardens on a guided mindful walk, followed by a delicious cream tea. These gentle and relaxing mindfulness taster sessions will help you experience the gardens in an entirely unique way, as well as learn to be ‘in the moment’ and switch off from the stresses of daily life.


Each month, the class will feature different mindfulness teachings and routes through the estate.


All sessions start at the above stated times (before the Castle Gardens open to the public) and finish at approximately 11am, followed by a cream tea in the cafe.

SOUNDS OF SPRING: mindful trail walk

Lake Vyrnwy, Powys

Saturday 18th May 2024
10am


Join us and Vibrant Vyrnwy for a mindfulness trail walk at beautiful Lake Vyrnwy and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of being outside in nature.


This guided three-mile energising walk along the RSPB trails and up into the hills above the lake will focus on the spectacular spring birdsong and allow participants to bathe in the sounds of nature. 

While there are some steep hills, the pace will be gentle and we will be stopping at various points for a breather and for us to guide you in short stress-relieving meditations.


The session will conclude with tea and biscuits, a chat about our experience and the opportunity to ask questions about mindfulness and the mental health benefits.

MINDFUL SAFARI AND PICNIC

Lake Vyrnwy, Powys

Saturday 17th August 2024
10am


Join us on a gentle and relaxing moorland mindfulness session high above Lake Vyrnwy.


Setting off in 4x4s, we'll gain exclusive access to parts of the Vyrnwy estate not usually open to the public and experience panoramic views of the valley. And whilst there, your guide will lead stress-relieving guided meditations and introduce the ancient healing practice of forest bathing, to help bring you fully into the moment and experience nature through new eyes.


After, we will have time to ourselves to relax, enjoy our picnic, embrace nature and make the most of the spectacular view.

 

Coffee and tea will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch and picnic blanket.

AT ONE WITH WATER

Rhiwargor Waterfall, Lake Vyrnwy, Powys

Sunday 20th October 2024
10am


A guided two-mile mindfulness riverside walk to beautiful Rhiwargor Waterfall, Lake Vyrnwy.


At the halfway point, you will be guided in a stress-relieving visualisation meditation at the foot of one of the most stunning waterfalls in Wales, followed by quiet time on your own to savour the full impact of the waterfall and beautiful surroundings.


The experience will be a complete escape from the hectic demands of our daily lives, giving you time to switch off in one of the most tranquil locations in the country. 

 

The session will conclude with tea and biscuits, a chat about our experience and the opportunity to ask questions about mindfulness and the mental health benefits.

In addition to our group events, mindfulness one-day retreats can also be booked exclusively for groups of four people if you wish to come with friends or colleagues.
